Split Pea Soup
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 1/2 c chopped carrots
  • 1 c chopped celery
  • 2 potatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 lb dried split peas
  • 10 c water
  • 1 lb smoked sausage
  • 5 chicken bouillon (or more, whatever)
  • 2 bay leaves
  1. Dice some of the carrots, celery, and onion, cook in oil/butter until fragrant
  2. Rinse split peas
  3. Add seasonings to soup starter
  4. Add potatoes and other large veggies to soup starter, stir a bit
  5. Add water, chicken stock, bay leaves, cover
  6. Simmer for several hours (~3?)
